Below are links to various things I have found online that I thought might be helpful to new puppy owners.
Teaching and Capturing Calmness
This is a video I have recommended for years. Everything in life is about balance and everything you do with your dog tells them how to interact with you. I cannot stress enough the importance of balancing your calmness training with play/motivational training. Many people don't realize that every time you play with your dog you are teaching him that is behavior you want out of him. A dog that won't lay down and relax is that way because he was never taught to. Capturing is a method of training and works well when teaching calmness. Emily Larlham is a primarily positive trainer with tons of videos on You Tube. If her you tube methods work well for you we strongly encourage to look into her further as she has quite a few videos out now.

How to Stop Barking In a Crate
As many of you know I often advocated the positive punishment method of training. Below is a video that teaches how to stop barking but also shows the progression of corrections to achieve your end result. Other problems that arise in training will require different types of corrections but you can see how a correction starts and then progress using the positive punishment method. Remember again life is about balance so don't forget to praise and play with your puppy after he has done as you ask for a while.
